Like mentioned above lube is a wonderful thing not just the cable but ALL the pivot points!

People that pull on the clutch lever on my bike ask me ‘how I can ride it’…
I tell them it’s theft deterrent. 😉
Just had a new Barnet clutch installed on my 2002 Road King and the lever pull is significantly stronger than the bikes original clutch lever.
Because of issues with my left hand this extra pull is causing problems. I only have three fingers, missing the strong one.
Does anyone know of a way to reduce the pull on the clutch lever? Springs? adjustable levers etc..
There is at least one "easy pull" kit that I know of. It replaces the existing parts under the tranny side cover, where the cable hooks up I have an '08 FLHT, and I installed the Barnett extra plate kevlar kit, and I used the stock spring, keeping the clutch pull stock (meaning EASY) Just replacing the frictions and the steels shouldn't change the pull.at the lever. Have you double checked that absolutely every single component is properly located and adjusted? If any of the steel ***** in the actuator are not where they should be, that could cause major lever stiffness.. Good luck.
Has anyone experienced issues with installing the BurlyBrand version of this modifications.
I got mine installed but I can not adjust the cable. The first pat of the adjustment is 1/2 turn out for the Allan adjuster screw behind the Derby cover.
The second part will not complete successfully.
When adjusting the cable the outer sheathing increases in length but the inner cable is also moving and it eventually gets very tight, pulling the ramping to its maximum so the lever can not move.
Did anyone have a problem with adjusting the cable after installing this kit? I am about at my wits end with this and running out of ideas.

I've install a few versions of the clone. No problems at all. Try screwing in the center adjuster until you see the pressure plate move then back off and try 1/2 turn again.. Make sure the cable is slacked and the locknut backed off some.

If you screw the center screw in until the pressure plate moves, does the cable tighten up at all? It kind if sounds like it's assembled wrong.
You may have to take to apart and check a couple things.
Ignore the arrows for now but does it looks like this? Did you get the tab on the inner ring in the right place? With it looking like that, can hold down on the center and rotate the arm?
Got my problem resolved. It turns out I just needed to clean the cable out real good.
Last night I soaked the cable real good with "Cable Life" and brake cleaner then exercised the cable real good for about 5 minutes then hung it out to drain and dry. This morning when I tried to adjust the cable everything was OK.
Went for 50 mile ride with almost no problem. Still need to make some minor adjustment but the worst is over. Lever pull is quite light and almost unnoticeable.
Max,
your picture was exactly like what I have so it told me I had it installed correctly and something else was wrong. That's when I suspected the cable itself and cleaned it out.
