hate those silly covers. I went with 12 point stainless polished on my blacked out bike. It was worth the time. Blacked out would look cool too. Paid about 350 for the full kit
They make a Harley black chrome bolt kit that covers all your bolts on the engine, primary etc...
I just bought one for my Ultra Limited. Not cheap, around $350
How long did it take you to swap out the bolts? Any complications?

although more expensive, there's a reason the H-D kit ran rings around the cheaper aftermarket one I tried initially. It's pretty much a bolt for bolt replacement. All seperated and labelled up in various packs, so you can do it at your own pace.
Do yourself a favour and sit with your service manual and write the torque settings on each diagram before you start work. Made fitting a breeze.
Take one bolt out at a time, replace with the new and put the old bolts back in the pack should you ever need them again.
Thanks, didn't know HD offered this. How long did the installation take?
Sorry can't put a time frame on it. I did it with a bunch of other mods at the same time. But the HD kit was very straight forward. If that's all you were doing its as easy as pull one then replace with the new one.
