Is there any way to tell if an 2018 Ultra Limited was a factory built "Low"?

The model number will have an L at the end. Flhtk for the limited and flhtkl for the limited low and same for the ultra.

Thanks for the reply, but where do I find the model number, there is nothing on the owners card and I checked the VIN, and the VIN just tells me it's a FLHTK, but I would guess that to be true even if it was a Low?

Check the VIN, digits 5&6 (model designation)- standard limited = KE, a shrine limited = KN, anniversary limited = KW, and a limited low = KK.

I wouldnt think so, they are 2 different model designations. I assume you own the bike, In VA the model is on the bill of sale, insurance paperwork, title etc. Your dealer can also check the vin for you.

A quick way to know is if it has rear passenger pegs instead of footboards...if not changed by the original owner. Stock "lows" had pegs.
Also lower suspension front & rear (12" rear shocks instead of 13"), smaller diameter grips, bars with more pull back.
The early (2015 +) "lows" were also the first to use the narrower primary...but not sure what year all the Touring line got them.

rear footpegs instead of floorboards, smaller primary, 12-inch rear shocks, and lower seat.

I own a "Low" Ultra Limited (2015)...and, as was already posted above, the VIN number tells the whole story.
The first 7 digits of the VIN should read: "1 HD 1 KKL". IF it does then it was a factory built "Low"...easy peezy.

Many owners (like myself) have made alterations to the factory set up. In my case, I changed out the passenger foot pegs and the factory seat for ones that I believed looked and felt better. My point is CHECK THE VIN NUMBER......if you still are questioning call a dealer and ask them to "de-code" the VIN for you.
