Default TFI

Anyone install the techlusion electronic jet kit on there bike. The local shop install these and says its suppose to cool the motor 15 to 20 % . It will also increase HP and improve throttle response. They are a bit pricey 500.00 $ installed. Is this bull are do this TFI really work.

Roger.

Yes, it doeswork, and necessary if you have opened up theair intake and exhaust. $500.00 is way too much. My TFI cost $194.00 plus taxes and I installed it myself. Instructions say 15 minutes but I was carefull and it took me about 1/2 hr. Good Luck.

I like mine. It set me back 99 bucks. Dobeck sells them to Military/Police for 99 bucks.

There are different control units available, depending on year and model. An 06 with stealth will be about $175. The one for my 05 EG standard without stealth runs $150.

I have one on my '06& '07 Electra Glides ... Both do the job of keeping the motors cool.

I've got the DFO on my bike. All it does is add fuel. It does seem to run a little cooler and I can tell from the plugs that it is not running lean. I didn't really notice any HP gain.

Been running one for about two years. Wife noticed a difference in the amount of heat coming off the crossover pipe when I had the stock exhaust on. Throttle response is better, it added a little more pep. IMO, for a stock engine with a Stage 1 it's a good value for the dollar.

Great unit if you don't intend on building your motor too big otherwise the SERT would be the way to go then.

You can install it yourself if you can turn a screwdriver. Here's a video of the DFO which is made by the same company and is the same unit sold by another distributor. This is an older model install and the tail light wire connection is no longer needed.
