@NoRegerts Chris, youre one luck dude! man! Take the time to heal up and be grateful for the aid that was immediately available and folks able to actually render aid. Hug your wife and get well my brother. 🙏🏻
Wow, Glad you survived.
Tire don't look flat. When you say the bike wouldn't steer, do you mean you were not able to twist the bars or when you twisted the bars nothing happened. If the former a split roller bearing in the fork? Something fell down between the tank and the forks?? If the later, maybe something in the handle bar mount broke? The cut in the from tire might have happened during the crash. I would also guess it's possible that the tire was cut but didn't lose air? Bike was slipping on a loose tread?

Reason: Not OK
Thanks for sharing your story. I’m glad it wasn’t worse, it was definitely bad enough. I hope you have a great recovery and good luck finding a bike you want.
Well damn, sorry to hear this, but glad to see you okay. I saw where you had mentioned your wife was with you and thought o man, hope she okay but sounds like she was on her bike and must not of hit road debris you hit. She saw the whole thing though which probably wigged her out pretty good. Fast recovery man!
