Default 05 Electra 10" ape question

Hi all, I got a question regarding my 05 Electra Glide handle bar swap. I'm going with LA Choppers Milwaukee Twin Peaks 10" apes. Can I get away with using the stock clutch cable and brake lines? I've been told the throttle cables and electronics will be fine but unsure of the clutch and brakes. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

Don’t believe everything you hear, especially if it is from a sales person. A lot will depend on the width and shape of the bars.
I doubt the wiring will be OK, most likely have to lengthen the wires to route them internally. (That is what the bars you mentioned are made for)

Brake line probably won’t be long enough.
Throttle/Idle cables might be tight, you do not want them to impede turning the bars.

My advise is to buy bars you want and not worry if they will fit everything else.
Most likely you will have to change everything except the clutch cable anyway.

take off the front fairing and look to see how much slack is there for the wiring. also I believe your brake line will be ok and probably the clutch cable. I think stock bars are ~8" so you need ~2" of slack for 10".

10" should work with everything, they leave a lot of extra in the wiring. Brake line rigid section may need to be straightened out to reach, do it by hand, slowly. All should reach but you will never know until you get there.
