I thought it did, but its been awhile since I used the GT, but in Nav you can change one of your Info Fields (Right or Left) and get any one of these to display (one of which is Speed)...
Yes and yes. On map screen there are two fields, one in each bottom corner. Push screen at this area, where you likely have just dashes. All your options for display pop up. As the responder above details.
