Weird start issue

Default Weird start issue
Many times when I go to start the bike.. nothing when I push start.. I mean everything is lit up.. but it is like no power to the starter.. I thought it had something to do with the clutch lever.. But I am not sure..
It is a 2013 Ultra Classic, 103 engine... Battery is about a year old and fully charged.. I cannot see to find the issue..

When this happens, does the headlight go dim?
When this happens, does it then start with clutch pulled in?
Do you hear a click?

Bike not in gear, clutch pulled, no click and the headlight does not dim
I will turn the bike on and off, try it with the clutch pulled and and it not in gear as well as it not being in gear and trying without the clutch being pulled in..

It feels like it is a safety switch somewhere stopping it from starting..

Pull the start relay and clean the prongs, spray some contact cleaner where the relay goes in then try to start the bike Start checking connections.

I have a CSC trike conversion.. But that did cross my mind... I will def check to see if they removed wiring or the jiffy stand itself..

It’s unlikely both neutral & clutch switch are bad. Also, US bikes do not have jiffy stand switch. Try the start relay as SS-E8 suggested.

Have you done anything to the bike? New handle bars, changed grips, added an electric accessory? How many miles? possibility of a fatigued and broken wire near the steering head. Next time try turning the bars full right (or left) and try again. Then in the opposite direction if the first try didn't work.

Outside of the CSC trike conversion, no.. not changed a thing.. The bike is a 2013 Ultra Classic.. has 11000 miles on it.. But I bought it back in May of 2020 got a great deal on it.. When i did work on it back then, who ever had the bike before me did some very shoddy wiring splices and there was a lot of corrosion is those wires.. I fixed and replaced everything I could find back then.. I did not look at the wires at the steering head, the bike does have a custom 18" apes on it.. I will also dig through those tomorrow... I have a long ride coming up Thursday and need to figure out the issue... The bike does eventually start and once it is running it is fine.. Just have the trouble when trying to start it
