Default Clutch pull is pretty tough...

I got one of those pull type scales and figured out that the clutch pull on my bike is about 21 lbs...I have ordered the Muller Power Clutch so as soon as I change out my handlebars, I'll install the power clutch...I will then measure the amount of pull it takes after I get done...

Good to know. Any idea when you have plans to change your handlebars?

Got the handlebars today but I'm still waiting on some other parts that are backordered. Hopefully get to work on it maybe next week. And I'm putting wires through the handlebars so it'll take a bit more time to get that done..

Thumbs up

Just thought I'd let others know that I FINALLY got the new clutch cable and Muller Power Clutch installed. I originally had about 21 lbs of pressure I had to use to pull in the clutch. I just checked it after the installation and it's now about 9.5 lbs. Now, I assume the original cable wasn't lubbed properly, it's just what I checked before I took it off. Thought I'd share the info with the other bikers on the forum!

Thanks for the input, I have my bike torn apart right now, installing a Barnett extra plate clutch pack and stiffer spring so I'm all ears regarding the muller. That's a huge difference in pull, wish we knew if there was any additional drag from your old cable. My only concern with the muller upgrade is that we know how the law of leverage works, meaning- because the muller affords more torque due to it's fulcrum design, can there ever be issues with the lesser amount of travel this mechanism affords to the full on engagement and/or full release of the clutch? I can imaging that the feel in the clutch lever would be longer and gentler engaging, that's good!
