Default Fairing mounts.

So my new to me 20 year old EG Classic had a nasty shake in the fairing.Checked it out on YouTube and sure enough it's an issue. So today I pulled the outer half of the fairing and sure enough both sides were broken.Welded the tabs back on and added a couple L brackets.Should be good for a while now.Fixed the LH signal indicator bulb while I was in there. All in all a good day. Can't believe how easy this thing is to work on after working on a Wing and a BMW.My kind of bike as I'm more for riding than wrenching.

That is one great advantage of Harleys. Things will always break, but how easily they are fixed with basic tools is what keeps me coming back.

Being a long time Wing rider(6 of them) I'm actually surprised at how much I like this bike.Pipes are too loud for me but I already have some quiet ones lined up.My cousin has a 98 basically the same and has some stock ones.

Yup simple and easy to fix, also more aftermarket support than anything else out there.
I also fixed the fairing supports on mine.
I spent 20 years and 200,000 miles with a 2000 Electra Glide I bought new.
I'd still have it if I hadn't test ridden 2019 and fell in love with it.

I fixed mine with wires on a trip way back, got them replaced under warranty with the new design.

I welded washer like lollipop on the end of the baffles to mellow my pipes a bit. Works great. I have them on my trike but these pipes were on my07 EG before

Actually the stockers I got had the holes in the frt and rr baffles enlarged somewhat so they're about half way between stock and what I started with.lol.
