I just finished searching the archives on paint codes and that answered some of my questions. A site kept coming up by the name of ppgcarpaint.com. This appeared to be a great source for year and PPG color codes. However the site isn't working for me. Now it may be down for maintenance or just plain down, don't know.
I have an 01 SERG that has three colors. One is the standard Vivid Black, found that. The main color is a Charcoal according to my parts manual. The third color is some sort of silver. These last two are what I'm after.
SureI could break down and goto the dealer and order paint but I'd rather paint my bike some obscene color first!
I'm extending my saddle bags and adding a new rear fender and like to get the paint portion moving. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Isn't that something. I could see them doing that. That way there isn't 3001 of a 3000 bike run. It sounds like the scanning tool will be my best option.

It isn't a black pearl, is it? If so 06BPY is what is on everything I have seen for my ride. Don't know if that is the paint code, or not, but it seems to be the trends at the end of part numbers.
The bike is predominately Charcoal colored. That is the one I can't find.
Why not call your dealer and ask for the OEM paint codes, if you have to, tell them you need them for your insurance company as your upping your coverage and want to make sure that your custom paint is covered. I did that for the HD numbered paint on my RK and the parts weenie went as far as printing me out a price list with per item replacement cost along with paint codes, and believe me once I saw how much the first owner paid for that paint, it is definitely covered under my insurance now
I have a 06 FLHT, where can I look to get the exact name and paint code for that model and year? I could have sworn it was the same paint as the 07 FLHT but they are different names. Can anyone help out with a link to paint archives? Thanks Bryan
