Intercom/CB port Question

I have a 2010 Ultra Classic that I removed the dash plate and plug and installed a billet plate. Question I have is can I remove the harness plug from under the seat without an issue or will it need to stay connected to prevent some break in the communication/connection?

I disconnected that harness on my ‘07 with zero issues, you should be fine.
