Hello newbie here hope I don't mess up but here goes,
I recently got my hands on a 93 glide, previous owner has issues pumping oil into the primary, thought it was an easy fix so spent the money and bought it, took primary apart to find oil seal installed backwards and half off, replaced the seal gaskets and put it back together, fired it up, 30+ psi oil pressure took it around the block and again primary full of oil, pulled the pump out and found scavenging side idler gear chewed up, oil housing trashed, so bought a replacement pump, installed it and fired it up no oil pressure ordered another pump from a us manufacturer, took the cone off and tried to take the drive gear off no luck so I reassembled everything with the second new pump, primed the pump with an oil can until the oil light went out and, tried again, no oil going thru the screen when I turn it over so it's not pumping, took the oil pump cover off and turned it over and everything is turning like it should im stumped, what am i missing?

Best advise I can give is take it to a dealer that will work on it, since I do not fully understand your question.
Ah yes that buying someone else’s problem cheap thinking you are going to fix it cheap and have a cheap bike to ride and/or flip can bite you in the ****. Sounds like the previous owner knew when to cut his losses and move on.

Thanks for your insight, this isn't my first rodeo, and this bike was purchased from a friend, who has an fxr, ultra classic an iron head and 1200 sporty, so no this isn't him cutting his losses, he is getting me in the wind, but you don't get it I guess

Was the shaft really driving or just turning from friction. Can happen if the drive key sheared.
What did the spacer look like that runs in seal in primary. It's very possible it has a groove. Seal rubber can get imbedded with dirty oil and groove. See that all the time in crank dampers on car motors.
There even SS sleeves to repair them. The TC one can be 180 turned for a new area. Yours can't.
PS... Welcome, hope you are enjoying your ride here. Only as a suggestion, make your next new post over in the new member welcome area to say hello.

You have 2 issues, the oil transfer to the primary, and the oil pressure.
Work on the oil pressure issue first.
There is an entire section in the Factory Service Manual for troubleshooting, disassembling, and reassembling the oil pump...
Thank you Dan the oil to the primary was caused by bad scavenging gears on old pump, problem solved, my only issue now is lacking oil pressure im going to make another attempt at removing the original pump shaft this weekend, I put a length of hose attached to a funnel and filled it with oil, turning the motor over by the starter with plugs out after priming the system and no oil fed into the pump, I am missing something but I don't know what it could be, I first fed oil in thru the top of the pump inlet then thru the bottom inlet on the cover, with the line hooked up to the top I pulled the lower plug from the cover and oil drained out, so oil is going in by gravity, my oil pan is below the trans and it seems like I'm not getting a prime from the oil pan
