On my 2018 EG I just bought. The throttle is sticky, crunchy, glitchy. Well. Hell. It just is not smooth. I thought it might be just the way throttle by wire is. But. A couple of friends have 2017 EGs. I tried theirs and they are slick and smooth. Nothing like my gritty throttle. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Did you get it sorted out? And. How? Thanks.

do you have any side to side play in the throttle hand grip? The switch block might need to be moved to the right a little, half the guys I know don't like to have any side to side play in the throttle.
I had changed my grips and ran into this almost a year after doing so. The grip would not return to idle and I had to manually twist it.
So I took it apart and used some dry lube graphite on the bar and anywhere the grip came close to touching anything else.. That has fixed it and it's been 2 more years trouble free.
Just a dab will do it... also I used dry lube or graphite spray. Some may not like it but that is what I used.
You can use other types of lube but I dont like grease on plastics.
If it's properly installed you should have some end play. Mine (heated grip) was properly installed but over time got to where yours is now. As a test, I took it off and installed a non-heated take off grip I have and it was smooth as butter. I took a brake cylinder hone to the heated grip and reamed it out, and now it's as good as new.

When I installed new grips on my wife's 19 heritage I had to do something similar, i couldnt even slide the grip on.
I can't tell by the photo if you have stock bars or not. I can tell you for certain that this issue can happen with TBW bikes during handlebar installs. I've had it happen twice. I ended up replacing the TBW each time to cure it. Those TBW units can be sensitive
