I have a 2011 RGC. Everything works except the brake lights. All fuses are good and I swapped relays and still nothing. I disconnected the harness to the tail lights ( I have aftermarket leds) and Im not getting any power to the brake wire part.
I read through the forums and found a couple of threads like my issue but still couldnt figure it out. Anyone help? Thanks!
Does the brake lite work with the front lever and just NOT the rear pedal ?
Check for power incoming to the hydraulic switch plumbed into the rear brake line
If power is present , depress the pedal and check the OUTGOING lead

There is a connector under the seat that goes to the taillights. Do you have power there for the Brake light?
The wires leave that connector, then go under the rear fender before coming up to the module. Like GalvTexGuy was saying, under the fender is a common place for the wires to get damaged.
And yes, both wires on the front brake switch have power to them with key on. It’s a new switch I haven’t soldered in yet. It’s still bare wires tied together while I troubleshoot
I have a connection in the fuse box area. If its the same one your talking about then, no I dont have power there
Connection should be under the seat. Behind the battery. Did you check the fuses for continuity with an ohm meter? Visual inspection doesn't always catch a bad fuse.
It may sound like bullshit, but dont rely on your test results at the lamp socket unplug the lamp socket from the harness and check for power TO the lamp socket.
The internal contacts in the socket are small wires, and they corrode creating an open (or excessive resistance), which prevents the bulb from illuminating.
I fixed this for a buddy by replacing his lamp socket.
