For a few bucks more, you can buy a hand pump from HD. It allows to pump air in and manually release air to get the exact psi desired. And when you remove the nipple no air loose!

I like the HD pump and agree that it is worth the money, if for nothing else than getting the tire pressure right. what a pain to get a regular air gauge on the tires. But keeping the shocks at the correct pressure sure makes riding a lot more comfortable.

I'm headed to the local bicycle shop this week to buy one of the pumps they use. Discovered this weekend that the shock pump will guage the air in the tires but will not inflate one.

I did get the HD one.

I'm headed to the local bicycle shop this week to buy one of the pumps they use. Discovered this weekend that the shock pump will guage the air in the tires but will not inflate one.
The HD pump will inflate a tire. I've seen it done.

Yup, It's on of those things you should really not skimp on....i keep one with all the time...main thing with them though is to keep it lubed up...otherwise the rubber dries out (and we all know a dry rubber is no dang good)
