My Cardo Edge just received an update which promises better mesh integration with other brands.
My Sena riding buddy and I are waiting on pins & needles to see if it actually works.
I knew i had read something that said Mesh to Mesh.... but you are right, it was the update before last:
.
Release notes 3.4
The update you’ve all been waiting for. Cardo Dynamic Mesh (DMC) and Sena Mesh 2.0 intercoms can now cross-communicate reliably!
Just use a Bluetooth bridge between a single Cardo DMC and a Sena Mesh* unit, and you are good to go! The Bluetooth connection will automatically recover in case of disconnection keeping the combined group together * Not including Sena Spyder and other mesh-only units by Sena.
Also, the intercom experience on the Sena side has been improved, allowing for a more reliable audio multi-tasking experience (yes, we take care of our competitor’s units as well).
We have improved our fast charging, making it even more robust and reliable.
As always, we took care of removing some bugs from your windshield, so your ride is pitch-perfect and clear.

I want to test the Cardo to the Sena Mesh+ adapter as well. I have an open inquiry to Cardo to see if the connection is supposed to work. I used the Mesh+ to join an older Sena to the new mesh network and it worked fine. If the Cardo will connect to it then the Mesh+ can be mounted on the bike with the Cardo. I'm not going to change to the Cardo any time soon, my Road Glide is a 2022 and I got the HD 50s units when I purchased it. I only have 33,000 miles on the new bike and it's just about tweaked the way I like it.
I did some internet digging and I found this video from late last year from Cardo:
It seems they are already attempting to address connecting Cardo mesh to Sena mesh.
I posted a message to my HOG group this afternoon and a couple of members with Cardo units are going to meet with me and test the connectivity. Hopefully, we can get this documented for our chapter before people start buying the Cardo units and can't join the group chat on rides.
be careful on the OLDER SENA as they weren't mesh (up to the 20S EVO) SPIDER RT1 is when their mesh begins.
As above CARDO update 3.4 seems to imply a MESH connection, but that via bluetooth concerns me...
while I was pre MESH SENA back in the day, both 20S EVO and H-D 20S EVO, my two biggest gripes where lack of waterproof and that damn jog wheel.
Sent my headset crazy many a time in the driving rain, to the point of having to remove it (cause it would turn itself back on and buzz!)
and from the get-go the jog wheel would rotate to its max and bleep like crazy when I was riding. I learnt to back it off a little before setting off, but then the lack of volume would bug me

Don't have a new bike, but have the Cardo units. There is a Cardo video group on you tube...they show quite a few things like pairing with different units. Very informative. My 3 buddies and I all have Cardo, they work well. Not sure what the new set up will be like, but I would be pretty sure the new bikes will hook up with other Cardo's and with newer Senas. Love the Cardo units.
I might have to go buy one just to compare it to my 50s since y'all are such fans of it.
I would check out you tube and look at the Cardo videos on various models, features, etc then check prices. They are a bit on the expensive side (although I don't know how the Sena are price wise). I replaced my PackTalk Bold with a NEO. The NEO is a step down from the top of the line, but had features I felt were worth having. There are less expensive units as well. I often keep the unit on my helmet and use it for the music, radio, functions with speakers in the helmet. My main concern was connectivity with my riding buddies and how far apart we could be to communicate. Lots of choices!!! Good Luck!!
