I have 12" aftermarket shocks on both of my M8 touring bikes.. On has the Ohlins 039, and the other has Legend Revo A's.. (along with the front suspension upgrades for each) You must choose the correct spring rate for your purpose or else you failed.. but for one like me, as a lighter weight rider and without a passenger, the both work well my Road King rides overall slightly better than my St Glide, but that's due to tire differences. I couldn't stand to go back to OEM suspension, I found it damn near useless esp the rear
