I have an 07 SG. When I put my feet on the Hwy pegs the wind ramps up my legs and causes extra buffeting to my head. Will the Fairing side wind deflectors help? If not any ideas...
If your buying the deflectors...I would advise to buy the adjustable ones. My FLHTCU has them. Before I had the Ultra I bought the fixed deflectors andtook them off. I will sell them to you for $25.00 bucks. They are theDark Smoke non-adjustable type.[8D]
In hot weather, you can rotate the adjustable ones to direct additional airflow AT you, as opposed to blocking airflow (which is what the air deflectors do by design)

While this baffle helps tremendously with the air coming up from under the forks it does not help with the problem caused by putting your legs out on the highway pegs... I know cause I've got them.
I also have the fairing side deflectors which again help alot with the wind around your head and elbows, but not when you put your legs out there. Only solution is to not throw your legs out on the pegs. That is what I ended up doing cause I hated the flow of air that was caused by it.
Oh well...thought I'd throw this idea out, cause I read an earlier thread about how the fork baffle helps keep beard hairs from blowing upyer nose. lol
I have also felt increased airflow with my size 13EE's stretched out on the highway pegs. In fact, lost more than one pair of Rx glasses because of turbulance and buffeting behind the fairing.
Guess that's just part of life "in the wind"? Anyhow, I'm down to my last pair of spec's, but now I never leave home without my Croakies! Who sez ya can't teach an old dog new trix???
Ha ha ha !!! Good one !!!!
Remember on Smokey & the Bandit? Bufford & Jr in the "convertible" patrol car . . . Jr says "Daddy, my hat flew off!!!" Bufford says "I hope your #*% #@*& head was in it !!!!!"
