The "profile" view of your cycle needs the speaker pods. To me, that's a much more finished look. I don't like the way the back support wings just "float" when seeing the cycle from it's profile view.
I'd add the speaker pods w/speakers (not fakes) and definitely change out the seat for a larger passenger pad. Adding a little "skirt" as other have said is also advised......If you're going to do it "do it right"!
I have added the pods and have just put an old set of factory speakers in until the us something aftermarket available.still have to install little leather filler
be aware that you will have to raise tour pak up abit as saddle bag lids just touch pods
i have wiring and will pin into connector to get speakers to work
Thanks for posting pics of the tour pak speakers on a '24. Looks good! Helps me with my decision. One thing.. Most tour pak speakers (As in the late model Ultras/Limiteds) are rated for amps that provide 25 Watts per channel.. The '24 RG/SG amp provides 50 Watts per channel. Might cause overload problems. If you get your speakers working, post something on it.. I'd be interested.

Yes.. I have a Harley Tall Boy seat that I took off my Road King before I traded it in. I planned to use it on the RG, but unfortunately it will not fit the '24 RG/SG. No Rushmore seats will fit because the seats on the '24s are shorter.

Wow.. Thanks for the P/N.. Didn't know you could buy one from HD.. I was thinking of going to an upholsterer and having one made up.
it's not for everyone, but once my wife and I sat on a sheep's pelt for the first time, there was no going back
a lot of folks hate the look, but as for function, we don't like riding without it
they are cozy when it's cold, they keep you cool and dry when it's hot, they can bake in hot sun and you can hop right on it...as well, the unsheared version is a bit of padding and helps with pressure points, even if you have a good seat, these make them a bit better
I use an aftermarket tour pack but I did splurge for the OEM speaker pods because I couldn't find any aftermarket ones that were leather wrapped. I see you found some, I wish I had! I do use the speakers but if I didn't care about that I would still have installed the pods. Doesn't look right without them in my opinion.
