Yesterday, Out for a ride. Heading North. Delaware Water Gap, Pa. Came upond Glide in overlook parking lot. Driver lying on ground looking under bike. A rather large puddle of oil on ground. The couple rented motorcyle from Schaffer's Hd. Were on there way home from trip to Maine.Primary/Trannyoil. Ask, If I could help. They called the dealer he was on the way. Friend going to pick them up. They lived about .5 mile from my home.
Well, made it to Hawks Nest. There in 1 of the pull off's was a RKC 07. Same 2 tone as mine. DOING the Same as the glide. Leak wasnt as bad. Rider told me he almost lost control. Oil was running on rear tire!
Made me think about the young couple on the glide. Oil, tire. Highway speed?
Both bikes had over 14,000 miles.
Me, no leaks yet. 7,000 miles. but, it did stall twice in traffic. I was idling wiating for light to change. 209/402Intersection. Thats handy.
acedantinne, Before I sign up to add this on my worry list I need more info. You said Primary/Tranny Oil. Do you yet know more definitely from where? Being all involved are from the same general area, were both bikes serviced at the dealership mentioned? Just some thoughts. Bob
