Default 2005 road glide headlight not working

So I just bought this bike and got it home. My headlight won’t come on. High beam light doesn’t come on either. Installed new handlebars and all controls work as far as cruise and radio. I’ve checked all my grounds and the fuse to make sure it isn’t blown. All lights work just not my head light. Also throwing code p0563.cleared the codes but haven’t rode it again to see if they pop up again. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be

Have you checked the plug with a volt meter to see if the power is making it that far? Since both filaments are not working, I would suspect the ground wire is not grounded.

Remove fairing and headlights. Check for power at headlight plug. No power? Follow the wire back into the bike, it either goes to the hand controls or ignition switch. When you find the other end, does it have power? If yes, the problem is in between. If no, keep chasing it back. Wiring diagrams available on line. Only you can chase an electrical gremlins, no silver bullet answers to be found, good luck.

Could the light be bad? Not likely hi and lo would both go out, but might be worth checking as well as the previous suggestions.

Good luck,
Tom
