I use one like this one on my 01 RKC. My use is as an on-road cover when I have to leave the bike outside in the rain, under trees, or some other nasty condition. It rolls up nicely in the storage bag, and doesn't take up much room. I use a non-HD cover just so when the bike is out overnight in some strange place, it doesn't advertise "Hey I'm a Harley -- come steal me!"
I would not use this cover for indoor winter storage. It may not breathe all that well, and could contribute to rusting. If you're looking for an indoor dust cover, HD makes a couple, or you could just throw a bedsheet over it.
For my bike when it's in my garage a use a Kings Size sheet. I addes some string on both sides to to tigheten it. The bike covers are pretty much the same size of a King sheet. So far it works real good for me.
I got the Wal-Mart cover for my last bike and sold it with the bike. Now i've got the Harley indoor cover. For the difference in price ($129 vs. $19.99) go with the Wal-Mart cover.
I use this cover;Exigent I have the Harley cover but it takes up a whole saddle bag and storage space is at a premium when you're touring. Plus as stated before, no need to advertise. A great cover for the price. Plus its made in the USA!
