My hatred of Road Glides is only exceeded by my respect for your body repair skills. I cant even apply touch up paint without it looking like a 3rd grader started coloring. Amazing work!
Nice looking bike. I like the blue also. I really like the blue on the new Camaro and Mustangs too. I think those colors look good on Harleys.
I am not a safety **** by any stretch, but do you paint without a respirator? I was in a big paint booth once that had grates in the floor and the exhaust fans pulled the overspray down. Probably could have painted in there with no respirator, but the guy wore one anyway. I do a little painting myself and these new urethane paints are nasty. Of course the follow on question, is that your paint booth or just one you have access to? Nice set up for sure.
I am also curious about how the title works. You said you bought it wrecked, but was it totaled? The whole salvage title thing is something I have never messed with.
I purchased the bike through Copart. It does have a salvage title that will be turned into a "Rebuilt" title as soon as I can get to the sheriffs office to get it inspected. The paint booth is not mine, I only have access to use it occasionally. I have only been painting for 4 years and have not had any official training. I ask guys that know how to paint a lot of questions and watch a lot of YouTube lol. This is my 7th bike that I have painted (4 for myself a 3 for friends). I enjoy it and work at getting better on each one. Here are some pic's of the bikes that I have done. All except the pink one was wrecked when I got them. My first paint job and my first Harley. Pearl White. My first RG. Loved this bike. A buddy bought it from me so I still get to see it often. GM "Pull Me Over Red" Color shift ZGA Pearl over black base. 131ci love that power. A friends Sportster. Hot Pink Pearl A friends 21 RG also a 131ci. Black And my latest. 23 RG (soon to be a 128ci)
I feel ya! I just got my bike ridable and it's rained every day this week. lol I've been up your way a few times on my bike and occasionally hit the bike nights in Evansville on Franklin St, maybe will run into each other sometime.
Forks were bent, road rash on fairing and saddle bags, BCM and box were busted.
That doesn't seem like enough damage to total a 2023. I've thought about doing a Copart build as well. The local yard has a 2019 Softail that looks like it could be a candidate. Just not sure what I would do with it when it was done. I already have a 2021 Street Bob and selling salvage/reconstructed bikes is likely not easy. I'm sure there is money to be made, just not sure I want to deal with it. I would really enjoy the work of rebuilding it though.

lol yeah...i went straight to the coparts site in my area and started looking at bikes available.
I don't necessarily do it for the $$. However I do usually make a little off of each one but you have to do most of the work yourself to come out ahead. The main reason is getting to ride a new, low milage bike every year and if I make a little $$ then that's even better. I also really enjoy the challenge and seeing the outcome.
