Default NextGen Shocks from D&K

I am asking a question that Carrjim1 asked last year but there was no response but maybe there are more out there now who have bought a set of these shocks and can give their thoughts, good or bad, concerning them. According to D&K they are a 13" shock with 4' of travel or there is a 12" with 3.5" travel I believe. That sort of travel on a 13" shock w/o any relocation/lowering mount seems to be impressive but real field usage experience sometimes is completely different. They appear to be a good company from what I can tell but I've never bought any of their stuff yet either. Thanks for any input.

We put the 13” NextGen shocks on our triglide last July after we got back from a trip to the east coast. Roads weren’t great in places and my wife had problems with the sharp jolts from the roads.

As soon as we got home I ordered the shocks from DK. They have helped. They take the sharp jolts out of the bumps but don’t expect miracles. You will still feel the bumps.

We are taking another long trip this summer and I’m anxious to hook up the Bushtec trailer and see how the shocks perform with it attached.

All in all I’m very satisfied with the product. I’ve purchased several items from DK over time and I’ve yet to be disappointed in anything from them.

Yes, having more suspension travel is great. But not if it lets the tire catch on the wiring or such in the fender when bottoming out.
So I would measure the clearance on my bike to see if it would work, or not.
