I have an 96 electra glide flhtc . It has the HD premium sound system in it . I would like to wire an aux input in the radio . Is this possible ? I'm trying to connect an ipod . I don't want to fm modulate it .
your pretty much hosed on that unit other than fm mod.
have you seen the fm modulators that plug direct inline of the antenna? they offer the best signal transfer if quality is of concern. your only other 2 options are newer HD deck, or biktronics module with an aftermarket radio.
I talked to radio sound inc . The 98 and new will fit but it will not match up wiring harness wise . I could hack it all up and make it work but I think I will go another rout . Thant sucks !
if your going to swap th deck, you might check with someone like hawg wired, they make a harness to adapt all the stock controls over to any Sony deck.
