I notice that there is some form of "sludge" under the radio controls (right handle bar). I assume it is brake fluid.
What would cause this and what is the fix?
Mine leaked also. The gasket was squished (too tight). Remove the cover, clean the rubber and cover, then tighten down to point just as gasket begins to deflect out from master cylinder.
Or take to dealer and let them fix - it is covered, as is any poaint damage.
I lowered my stock bars and got the same thing. Put different bars on it that corrected the angle of the reservoirand it stopped. I thought the reservoir was a pressured container and was good no mater what position it was it. I guess not.
