it'll be here on TUES..................Now THAT'S service...........talked to John this afternoon and ordered the 6.5 Dark Grey w/recurve..... told him I was leaving for the Dragon on Sept. 14, he said its in stock and you'll have it on Tues...............DONE DEAL
I went down to the National HOG Rally in Knoxville last weekend.
Tamed the Dragon, then off to Cherokee NC up the mountain to Gatlinburg and back to Knoxville.
You will have a GREAT time.
You will also love your windshield from Clearview. I have a friend who has one. I had to get mine from Fastair due to the backlog of orders at the beginning of the summer.
On the Dragon, Don't cross the yellow. The State boys WILL get you if they see you.
I have the same shield on my Ultra. They must not be a high demand item since John had mine in stock also and shipped it out the next day. The longer wait lists seem to be common for the higher versions.
The 6.5" with recurve functions as efficiently as my 8" shield. I thought that might be advertising hype but as it turns out it is an accurate assessment of the performance. The shield looks great on the bike too.
Clearview makes a good quality product and gives very good customer service. I am sure you will be happy with your shield.
Yeah...I already have the 4.5 w/recurve in the solid black color........very nice piece. I have 2 Fastaire pieces (6 and 8) both of which cracked at the mounting holes (my fault not the shields) but there is absolutely no comparing the two as far as quality. Of course the Fastaire's are a third the cost but I would never go back after owning the Clearviews.
I'm leaving for the Dragon on the 16th, even though I'm headed for a Honda Rally with my dad and Brothers, I'll be the only HD in a 9 bike group. But we should have a blast anyway cause i finally get to ride the Dragon, Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Also dealt with John when I bought my 6.5" dark grey recurve for my 07 Street Glide as well. I love the shield. The optical quality is top notch, and the recurve really does make the shield work like a taller one. Highly recommend them.
I've had the 9.5 recurve clear on my ultra for about a year now and have really liked it. Just called John on the 29th and ordered a 9.5 dark grey recurveand it should be here today. There is nothing the matter with the clear just thought that the grey would look better.
I tried the dark grey Aero from fastaire and it caused too much buffeting for me. Could bet that its an 8" though.
Very impressed with the quality of the Clearview sheilds
