Phone mounts
I worry the passenger one will cause you to hit a car behind you, so it doesn't get used. I returned the ciro phone mount because it was not angled off controls. Can;t say I am a fan of the company
Ridden in the rain with it to see how it held up?
It's not a bad idea, if it works as well as they make it sound like it does.
For the sub-$100 price it's practically disposable, yet feels well made. It can be powered by a USB cord, however it also comes with a weatherproof power cord which screws into a dedicated port.
My only complaint is that it has no internal battery, so power (including volume setting) is lost as soon as the ignition is turned off or the starter is cranked. This is mitigated however by the quick boot up time... about 10 seconds followed by automatic pairing with my phone and headset.
As with many Bluetooth devices, pairing is seamless with newer phones & headsets (like my Samsung A35 and Cardo Palktalk Edge) but might be quirky with older units.
If mine died tomorrow I would buy another one without hesitation. Much cheaper (and easier) than replacing a smartphone every 2 years, which has been my experience with motorcycle usage. It's also more convenient when getting on and off the bike. Just keep your phone in your pocket.
