The Roadking and the Street Glide share the same frame, suspension, and power plant. The Street Glide has a fairing, stereo, and gauges(oil pressure, amp., tach) that the Roadking does not have. The Street Glide has also had the suspension lowered.

If you get the sporty I promise you it won't be the last bike, you could start on the sporty, but I think you will end up needing more comfort and storage. If you don't think a bagger will run, do a few mods, and that old sluggish motor will wake up. When you get the H.P. up around 100 they are a blast to ride.

One more thing for you to consider. I'm 56 have been rideing since 14. I think the road King is the best looking bike out there. I bought one, changed bars, seat ,and other stuff, but just coun't get comfortable . Finally sold it and bought a used Eletcra Glide Standard with stock seat stock bars and Harley back rest. I love it!. Last summer I put in several 13 and 14 hour days and have a bad back.The neet thing about the Standard is they are all over the place with low miles,and low prices, I went from a injected bike 01 RK to a 00 Standard carbed bike and the carb. works just fine. You may want to kick this around , you get a lot of comfortable Harley for a low price. Good Luck! Randy.
