1994 Electra Glide
I'm new to the forums.
Im looking for some good advice on purchasing my first HD.
Im approaching 60 rotations on planet earth.
I have owned and ridden pretty much every manufacturers bike.
Started my riding as a kid on 50cc mopeds progressed to bikes as big as BMW K1200LT and Honda ST1300..
I always stayed away from Harleys over the years cause i was always a sport touring guy. Plus newer Harleys always seemed out of my price range.
Well I spotted a 1994 Electra Glide for sale.
I'm probably going to test ride it this week.
For you long term HD people's.
What should I be looking for on a 1994 Electra Gilde?
What things should make me walk away from a previously owned Electra Glide?
What base features come on a 94 Electra Glide?
Can the motor be upgraded to something more powerful if i so desire?
I have been riding a long time. I plan to log some significant highway miles trying to tour the East Coast, maybe even ride to Canada a few times.
I don't need a speedster, just a comfortable reliable longer range touring bike.
Will a 1994 Electra Glide in top ship get me many thousands of comfortable touring?
