road king duals
am considering goint to true duals on my 05 rkc. any thoughts on whether it is a good idea? have been told by several people that it will result in a loss of power.
are v&h decent? v&h pipes allow use of my s/e slip-ons. local dealer seems to like rhinehart (at 2x the cost of V&H)
what engine mods should i do with the install, race tuner, power commander, or?

i didn't lose any noticeable power but got a mid range increase that i love when passing a truck on the two lane roads here in hilly Bama. if you want to cheaply see if you want true duals, cut about 5 inches out of the rear balance pipe and plug each opening with a chevrolet freeze plug. 10 minutes and $2.

Or, you can do what I did, call BigCity Thunder up and tell them what you are wanting to do, they will send you some thunder monsters to put in your stock head pipes, then you will have that tru dual sound, at least 60 on the right and 40 on the left, I pulled out my baffles and my freinds say that it sounds better than the Rineharts, I have a stage 1 download with a PCIII usb installed, I also have a 203 cam in, the bike is super strong, see you still get some scavengeing from the stock system design and pick up that tru dual sound, also will only set you back $79 before shipping, heck give them a call and ask for Jim.
