Stupid question here but is the SE Air cleaner on my 2014 CVO limited considered an " upgrade" from say a normal non CVO bike or if considering stage one,
does it need to be replaced. Bike already has Vance & Hines power duals.
That is an upgraded intake if you want to call it that. It’ll flow more air than you need. A stock Rushmore air cleaner flows more than motor can inhale too. You’re good. 👍

After doing a little more research after posting I realized the same however I just removed the cleaner to check the filter ( I just replace it about a month ago ) and did see some oil inside. Looks like Im gonna have to order the breather system from DK Customs. I hate the thought of all that burnt crap going back into the intake.

Thats Harleys crankcase ventilation system and they have had that problem for a long time. On my last bike, a 14 Limited, I made my own breather bypass like many have done on here and it took care of the oil in the intake problem. Be sure to run your oil level a half quart lower than full if you not already. That could solve the problem entirely.

I have always done all my oils on my softail and will do the oil change on this newly acquired bike when its due but the last oil was done by the place I purchased it from so I assume they put it to normal full. It was on the full mark on the stick when I last checked it. Ill keep this in mind.
Would you have a link to the breather bypass mod.?
