Check engine light when full throttle
Regarding the check engine light, it comes on for 4 seconds when I turn the bike to ignition, and then it does not come on again until the bike exceeds 4,000 rpms.
Appreciate all the information.
Again, pull history code to see where is pointing you to begin with in regards to sensors. Could be anyone of them, or if nothing is showing up as history code, could be low oil pressure at higher rpms, that could be acutal low oil pressure problem, or oil pressure sensor going south that MM does note have a code to show for that problem.
Hell, if the engine is built, but crank not re balanced for different weight pistons, could be as simple as engine vibration bad enough to dance the mercy ball in the band angle sensor on the cam position sensor off the wires just long enough to cause problems (will be code 44 for bank angle sensor.)
So again, what history codes are showing to start with, before we go down the rabbit hole deeper, since although there is not a direct code for misfire in the MM, that problem will still show up as another sensor code isntead. As for no history code and getting error light, that one points to a low oil pressure reading at the oil pressure sensor isntead.
As for codes that you don't want to see, 52 through 55, since all point to a cooked ecm that needs to be replaced instead.
