Thought some of you would appreciate this. I often ride with a side arm, and also forget sometimes i have it on. Not welcome in some of the places i go. So, i made a lockable rack mounted to my gas tank and cylinder heads. I have more pics if there is interest.
Cool. But this is the temporary test area. This needs to be moved probably here.
PS Welcome to the HDFORUM. Only as a suggestion by me as a USER just like you, make another new thread over in the newmember welcome area to say hello.
If you like, you can hit the yellow triangle on you first post and ask them to move it. Or if you want a lot of comments, just make another yourself.
Why I suggested you need to to hit triangle or do another is I don't see a Community Team person for the Gun Area.

Well it's creative. But for me it's fugly. My opinion, sorry. The standard fasteners make it pretty easy for someone with a cordless to have a free pistol too. You conceal carry that one? Most just have a holster on their tank or bars to transfer your concealed carry to when you get on your bike.
Don't get me started on actually having a need to shoot while riding too. Looks like you wanted more of a permanent mount and too much time on your hands. IMHO you're overthinking.
But again, nice engineering. Hope it's just a prototype.
Your entitled to your opinion. I wasn't doing it for you. So, is it dumb and useless for the cops on bikes to have an AR rack on the bike?
Ok. But seriously, what's the point? To show off? Hey look at me I have a gun locked to my bike. Can you quickly get to it if needed? No, cause it's it's frkn locked. Now I have nothing with someone carrying open or concealed, but if you need to go someplace that "posts" no firearms" just lock it in the saddlebag or tour pack.
Oh, and I especially like that it's been attached to the tank console with those awesome home depot bolts.

I looked for the triangle(edit: found the triangle), didn't see it. I will post in the welcome thread. I will make another copy to your suggestion.

Im not done, nothing is even tightened down. I had a heart attack on the 12th of September. This kept me busy while i was home recuperating. Thanks for your opinion.

Maybe it's blue now.
Just a suggestion, something like this would tidying it up. I would even drill and Carter key the back side. However, if they wanted it, the console would be next.
However, I personally would never do that.
I have a conceal carry but plan ahead and don't travel on my bike now.

"Ok. But seriously, what's the point?" You didn't answer the question. Is it dumb for cops to have a weapon mounted on a bike? Double standard, I'm stupid there not?
" Hey look at me I have a gun locked to my bike" You see a gun on a bike are you more or less likely to **** with him?
"Can you quickly get to it if needed? No, cause it's it's frkn locked." Yup, its handy and your dead.
