Hello, I have a 2020 FLHR, the one issue I have is seeing the turn signals indicator on my dash during the day. The issue is when I change lane lanes and forget to manually cancel them. I know the short answer is to be aware to cancel them but…I just wondering if anyone here devised something on their own?

TIA Zeke

Unless you manually try to cancel it and just happen to time it perfectly to turn it on for a second time, or a third.......

Walk in the park going brighter leds, but the down side, brighter in the day light, means dam near blinding at night.

In my older evo RK, I actually changed out all the bulbs to dimmer bulbs across the board, since tend to do a lot of back road riding at pitch black dark thirty, and even the speedo light and gas gauge back light bulbs were a touch to bright for my liking in those condition to distract me from the light shinning up (running 658 bulbs now, and on the bottom of the turn signal lens, touch of clear finger nail polish, so those would not be so bright as well.

Granted on the Evo, all the builbs are twist socket type, so not hard to change the bulb types out,
While your later bike, talking Led's that you would have to pull the module to un-solder the old LED's, and solder in more brighter LEDs on the module board itself.

And again, yours are not standard type incandescent bulbs that you can add in a dimmer to be able to make the bulbs dimmer or brighter for day/night conditions, but LED bulbs that do not dim instead.

So simply put, if you hit either side turn signal buttons to change lanes, then just remember to hit the button again after the lane change, to turn it back off.

As for the 20 second auto turn off, kind of funny, since find myself fighting this more when I an turning the blinker on to say get into the left or right turn lane, before I begin to slow down, where the blinker will shut itself off before getting into the lane to slow down before the stop or turn.
So in these conditions, just get into a habit of pressing and holding the turn button, until you do start to put on the brakes slow down/come to a stop, where until you start to move again from braking or at a stop, the self canceling timer does not kick in again

Created a mental "stimulus-response" behavior. I signal the lane change, then when crossing the boundary of the new lane, I cancel the signal. After a while, it is automatic. Do you use a full face helmet? I had to go to a 3/4 helmet so there would be no chin bar to block the view of the lights on the dash. Makes double checking the signal lights easy.

The real solution is better riding practice, like you said.
