Turn Signals Not Self Cancelling

Hello All. I noticed yesterday that the turn signals on my 1997 FLHT have stopped self cancelling. Anything to check besides the module?

Check the connector at the module, and the connector at the speedometer.

Pretty sure it is a single white wire with green stripe coming out of the back of the speedo. It's just a simple reed switch inside the speedometer that sends the module "pulses" then the module turns off the blinking feature after a certain number of pulses.

Not saying this is your problem, but check your grounds in that circuit as well.

Thanks for the info. I’ll probably take it apart tomorrow night and see what’s up. I’ll report back one I get it fixed

I do not remember with Harleys, but I have owned cars that stopped blinking if the bulb was out. Start with that, are all 4 lighting up?

Do you have a speed sensor in the trans? If so check it for build up, it's magnetic.. It also sends the signal to cancel the turn signals..

All 4 are working and the speedo is working properly. The drive is on the front wheel.

My self cancelling signal lights had a mind of their own, and cancelled whenever they felt like it. Found is so annoying that I unhooked the green wire from the speedo. Now I have to manually cancel the signal lights but at least they work when I want them on.
