I have a question on getting my 05 RK into neutral. When it's cold no problem. After riding and coming to a stop light I cannot get it into neutral. I have 3,800 miles on her now and no problems other than this. THanks for your input.

I'm sure some folks that are way more experienced than me will chime in, but I'll throw in my $.02 anyway.

1- try posting this in the tranny forum, there seem to be some experts around in there.

2- My bike did this when the primary chain was too tight (first and last time the dealer touched it)

3- I do occasionally still have a hard time finding neutral, but a quick "blip" of the throttle helps it slip in.

Good luck.

Jeff

Do while it's still rolling. Much easier.

Also, sometimes you will notice it being stiff going back into 1st after sitting there at a light. Use your leg and roll back just a few inches and she will slip right in.

Like Mikeeee says kick it in while approaching the light. Slides right in.

The truth of the matter is. Slip it in before you stop and you'll have a lot less trouble finding it!

You just need to adjust your clutch. It's not taking enough pressure off the tranny when you pull the clutch in. Check the cable and you should be good to go.

Anyone ever try a Magura Hydraulic master cylinder / slave setup in a newer FLHT?

379 from Drag Specialties and it gets rid of those annoying cable issues.

It is on my list of things to do after the Power Commander ( another 300 bucks)

I have to agree with adjusting the clutch. I had a similar problem and it helped to adjust it.Works good now.

One more tip, Dont try to shift into N with the heel shifter. Use your toe and lift up on the toe shifter. Making that smaller transition is easier with the toe than with the heel.
