1996 Road king
I completely rebuilt my RK and in doing so i replaced the gas tank and removed the chrome dash. I want to install a single gauge with chrome housing on top of the handle bar clamp. I know I will have to modify the chrome cover. Has anyone seen this done before? I will also relocate the ignition switch.

Ar you talking like the 96 FLHP ( road king police bike) that had the tack up above the bars.
Note, hit mute so you don't have to listen to the sale speech, but guessing your looking to do that same, but have speedo up top, instead of tack.

my bike is a 1996 FLHR, I am installing a replacement gas tank that will not accommodate the original dash and speedometer. I want to purchase an after market stand alone speedometer with tachometer and trouble lights, etc. I want the housing for gauge to mount to the handlebar clamp.
