Here is the new "08" Anniversary RG. I said I would post pics soon, but it took me a liitle longer due to riding too much. Wow, what a difference coming off a 1998 RG. I hope the link works. If not I will get the oics posted another way.
The seat doesn't seem to have as much step to it as the 06 model, and the slot in the seat for the rider back rest looks like it is at the low point in the seat rather than at the crest under the strap.

No, if you look close the slot for the back rest is at the top where the strap goes. I did remove the strap.It must just be the angle with a dark spot in the seat. The seat is not as comfortable or big as the 98 but it'snot bad.
Great looking bike. The Road Guide is my favorite bagger. It is probably only my personal taste, but I don't like the looks of the anniversary badge on the tank. That would be the first thing I would remove. It doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the bike.
