The first Harleys with Road Glide fairings were Tour Glides FLT. It looked alot like a Vetter and may have been a compromise. I remember them well when I bought my first Harley in 1986.

Looks a lot like the Wing in the 80's

I'm pretty sure that's the Liberator fairing. Based on a few clues, I'd estimate the bike to be around 1976, but the clues are not definitive for me.
There are resources to research that fairing, the precursor to the FLT fairing mentioned in this post. Vetter was a source for the vast majority of the fairings from that period, either directly, license, or 'inspiration'.

That bike was a gift from Pricilla to Elvis. She must have been mad at him. The headlight is from a bus, not sure if it was on trucks.

I know Craig Vetter supplied Harley with some "Vetter" fairings that came OEM on certain models during the Shovel head era.... I believe they were called "FLH Liberator Fairing by Vetter".

But my old memory can't bring up any other the details....

NOTE: The internet is wonderful, I found some info to back my failing memory...

Wind Jammer fairings/bags/trunks were made by Vetter. Vetter also made the HD fairings for the TourGlide if I recall correctly.

Here`s a Craig Vetter design that was more pleasing to the eye.

Thanks for the info... I always thought Wind Jammer and Vetter were different companies.

I knew Vetter made a fairing for the HD bikes called a Predator
I did not know Vetter made the Wind Jammer fairings too. I probably should have known since they look so much alike.
