Default 2013 / 2014 Street Glide
I had a 2013 street glide and traded it in for a 2014 Street Glide Special and I noticed the rear docking station was different and I couldn't use the old docking station for my new 2014. I bought the docking stating for my 2014. My question is with that docking station, what other newer years will that fit assuming it will only fit newer street glides.

2014 was the introduction of the "Rushmore" touring bikes.

A bunch of stuff changed that was then incompatible with prior years..

It's just the bike side parts that are different, correct? I thought all the quick detach items would interchange from 09+.

Once you get the docking hardware on your bike, it will take all pre-2014 accessories, including the TP and backrest/luggage racks.
