Default Sounds off?

Just had the shop do a 3 hole change, install rocker lockers, and breather assembly. Rode it home and sat in the garage running. It sounds a bit off to me, but maybe I’m just being paranoid? Seemed to run decent and didn’t notice anything on my way home. Just sounds off to me.

Its sounds different to you because of the new breather is my bet.

not the air filter, the breather assemblies inside the rocker boxes. Shouldn’t change anything sound wise.

Sounds great to me. I hear nothing unusual.

You're used to hearing the rockers ticking and they aren't now with the rocker lockers.

I do all my own vehicle work but one new truck I bought had a service package so I let them change the oil, rotate tires etc. Every time I picked it up I'd be cussing under my breath, thinking 'what have they screwed up now?'. It always sounded and felt different but I know, in reality, it was just my paranoia. Apart from the time they forgot to put the oil cap back on. Oh and the times(!) they forgot to adjust air pressure after rotation. ......and the time they over filled the oil, but apart from that, paranoia! 🤣

This reminded me of work 2 weeks ago. My state truck went to Ford for a trans issue. They brought it back with the dipstick not on the oil tube lol

The only Harley that I've had that I didn't hear some top end noise on is my 03 Wide Glide 88. I suspect it is because it was the start of that engine design. Yours has been boosted twice from the original (96 then 103) so I would suspect a little more noise would be normal. To me it sounds really tight. Neither my 88 nor my old 96 sounded as beefy at yours does. Also you will hear a little more noise when you open up the intake. On both my 96 TC and my 114 M8 when I opened up the intake I heard a little more noise from down below. After a cam upgrade my 114 sounds like it is about ready to suck my pants leg off.
