Just wanted to share my experience. Came from Dynas and FX softails to my 16 RGU a few years ago, the ride was great and comfortable, after reading about others doing suspension upgrades I broke down and spent the $$$. HOLY POOP!! I put ohlins cartridges in the front and suoershox in the rear, unreal how much better it rides. I thought it might be noticeable but WOW! I used Harley heavy fork oil at first and the front was a bit stiff, switched to type e oil last weekend and its perfect. No more jarring over big bumps and theres virtually zero front end dive when braking. If youre on the fence, DO IT!!
I have a 2017 Road King. Two years ago I installed the Legends shocks on the back. Ride improved but, even after extensive tweaking, was not the improvement I expected.
Fast forward to yesterday. I tested the Road Glide CVO ST. Power was better than my 107 but not THAT much better. HOWEVER..the suspension setup was MUCH better.
WOW....I didn't think a Harley could ride that tight and nice. How do I get that setup on my Road King?
