Hello, I am in need of help, the bearing that is in my inner primary cover went bad. I have the inner primary cover off and have already got the oil seal and bearing out. I dont know what all and or part numbers of everything I need to replace. I need to order a tool to take the front sprocket off because while I have it apart I want to replace all the seals and gaskets. I know I have to replace the 5 bolts that holds the inner primary cover to the engine, there is the gasket with the two small pins in it, seal for the starter, seal for the shifter, and what ever seals I will run into behind the front sprocket. I am also going to replace all the outer primary gaskets. Does anyone know if anyone sales a kit with all the parts in it or will I have to buy each part? I also need the new bearing that went bad. I want a good one and dont mind paying for one they is really good. Please help. My bike is a 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Will I need a tool to pull the inner race bearing off or does mine even have one? Thank you ahead of time. Attached it what I am calling the inner race bearing
1. Get a HD Service Repair Manual so you know what you are doing and what is required.
2. Go here and look up your year and model bike for the parts: https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/c/motorcycle-service-parts?aribrand=HD
3. You have a 2007, did the bearing race on the shaft walk into the seal on the inner primary?

That front sprocket is called the compensator.
VERY high torque setting on that, like 160*, gonna need some kid of locking tool to get it off like this one....
Did that inner bearing race walk in on the seal or is it still in the correct position?
You need a puller to get that off, but if it walked in you may not have enough clearance on the back of it for the puller to bite on.
At that point you have to cut it off.
I had to cut my inner bearing off the shaft, major hassle with a dremel, but it worked.
And while you're in there, change out the primary chain tensioner, i went with HAYDEN years ago and it never an issue. https://www.haydensm6.com/m6_bt07.htm
You can check out the parts diagrams provided to see what gaskets you'll need.
And YES you need a Factory Service Manual........INVALUABLE!!!
Good luck
EDIT!! You have the inner primary off but the front sprocket(compensator) is still on?
That compensator has to come off before the inner primary comes completely off......

If you cannot get behind it to use the puller, you will need to grind a slot in the bearing race with a dremel tool down to almost the shaft, go very slowly so as not to damage the shaft or other parts.
Once you get it almost through, use a chisel and hammer to break the bearing race off.
There are some videos and discussion, use the search function or search YouTube.
I have done 2007 many times.
Get a factory manual
clutch is left hand thread.
Big sockets is most of what you really need, and snap ring pliars. Plus high enough torque wrench.
I have installed 3 inner primary bearings on my 2007. So I would definitlely replace bearing. Last failure I went with the latest harley auto tensioner, which may be what is causing the failures.
You can get a cometic or harley kit for primary gaskets I have reused the cover gasket more than once, But if original doesn't hurt to replace. Or just look at parts diagram and order what you need. The bolts with seals are replaced. If the inner doesn't come off easy, look for one more bolt, probably up front. Don't force it.
I have shoved plastic in the chains every time I have locked a chain. Some say this will cause damage and harley now recommends the bar between the two sprockets. You can find this on ebay fairly cheap.
When off I would replace tranny shift shaft seal. Mine was ion backwards from factory. Depending on money and ambition, and miles easy time to replace stator.
My 2007 sprocket shaft seal, on crank fail and was fillng my primary with oil. Removing derby before draining may reveal this. I never did that though. I just started draining.
With the primary off think about what you may want to do.
One thing I learned after taking shifters off many, many times, is remove the bolt completely not just loosing I put little anti seize on it. You can crank it tighter without stripping, since it is a lube.
My 2007 belt pac manned at 55k. I realize summer, and you want to get back on the road as fast as possible, but think about what you may want to do with primary off

I am planning on all the seals while I am in it this far. I am trying to find a jims upgrade sealed bearing to get rid of the shaft part I am going to have to cut off. Just replaced mt stator and the magnet part and also a new regulator. I have 2 other bikes so I am going to take my time and do it all correct so maybe I wont have to wrench on it again for a while.
