These were exactly bolts #25. One was real loose.

I did my "air crash investigation" (love that series BTW - a while ago I dropped the bike on that side at the gas station (luckily before refueling not during &#128513 - it was very slippery and I was ultra tired.

Then the footpeg went loose - I tightened it up and did not look into floorboards.

I guess since then the #25 was loosing it and it came to the moment when this rattling sound came up.

Why did I think it was something more - I recently was replacing the pushrods covers (I mean the service mechanics were) and then again the pushrods "bases" (no idea how these are called but it's at the bottom if pushrods) - into full black. So, when doing it - again same mechanics didn't tighten the pushrods enough and one went loose. I made about 20 km back from service to home and it was okay, but then took off on a trip fully loaded and another 5 km and baang the noise was terryfing, I stopped and called the airlift (okay a van). I called the workshop and they said to just ride over to them, but I preferred that airlift.

They tightened the pushrod, checked everything up and said they were very sorry, it shouldn't have happened but yeah "don't worry about little things in life" etc.

Off I went on that trip, but kept thinking of it all the time and also "investigating" the bike for strange noises.

When I heard that rattling #25 from floorboards - I first thought it was sthg because of that pushrod earlier or generally something like really serious.

Luckily not. Problem solved. Investigation is over /)

Thanks All, you're really always a great help, good to ride these places knowing I can ask an independent opinion always.

For the end a little guessing game - what car was I seeing in the mirror?

Cheers!

Cheers! Very nice street glide. How you liking those screaming eagle titanium mufflers ? I just put a set on my RKS and I’m enjoying the peace and quiet vs the d&d billet cat it had.

Thank you!

They're fine for me...nothing like that other loud pipes I'm seeing all over internet - but I wanted to keep the bike street legal in EU and - not too be too loud (on long road trips it's adding up to the overal tiredness for me - I mean a loud exaust enhances fatigue)...I do trips for 2 wks with 500+ kms a day.

They're much better than the stock for sure and to me the bike sounds real nice. I also have a 462 cam and don't know how it would be with stock cam as I installed it all at once.

I am thinking to change oem headers to SE ones though...and even replacing 462 with 511 cam (read that 462 is for older bikes).

What's the d&d billet cat? I thought cat is in the headers, not mufflers?

It’s a Full 2 into 1 exhaust system made by D&D. It doesn’t have a cat in it. It just the name they use for the exhaust system.

Check the heel/toe shifter for looseness. Engine running, rev it a bit to point where there are vibrations, then hold the shifter and listen if a noise stops, there are bushings in the shaft that the shifter rides in, they may be worn, and causes shifter to rattle.
