Question trans issue help needed

2007 FLHTCU 6 Speed. had to replace 3 - 4 gear shift fork and 3 - 4 pocketed dog slider. problem is according to manual the torque spec on the mainshaft and countershaft jam nuts on the trap door is 50 ft. lbs. But if i go over 30 ft lbs the trans locks up! what do i look for to remedy this. any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bill

if it is locking up when tightening the nut then there is something assembled incorrectly. i would recheck orientation of everything and see what you can find
