Handlebar change?
I got these Khrome Werks 2+2 handlebars installed on my 2012 StreetGlide. I did not have to change the front brake hose or the clutch cable. I also did not have to remove the Ignition Switch.
I did have to re-route the brake hose and clutch cable through the Fairing for proper function. Both are just long enough.
The difficult part is moving the Fairing mount brackets past the upper Triple Tree boss where the Fairing bolts on. This must be done to gain access to handlebar clamp bolts.
The orange painted area is where the Fairing bracket bolts to the upper triple tree.
Note: the lip on the bracket, that is where the interference is.
RHS Fairing bracket bolt location at upper Triple Tree.
Note: lip on bracket is difficult to clear past the bolt boss.
LHS Fairing bracket bolt location at upper Triple Tree.
Again, bracket lip is difficult to get past the bolt boss.
No need to remove the Ignition Switch. The Fairing Cap moves enough to get to the two bottom bolts.
Note: green dots are where Fairing bracket, bolts to upper Triple Tree bosses.
OEM bars.
New bars: 2" taller and 2" back towards rider.
