Security Fob Assignment
Hello: I only received one fob with my 06 RG and purchased another one so, I can have two. I followed the procedure of assigning fobs in the owner's manual, but am only able to program the older one or the new one--not both. Am I doing something wrong or is there an easy way to program both at the same time? Please advise!
Thanks,
Ed

pg 12-113 of the 07 owners manual:
dont know if its any different for the 06 and below, but maybe someone can tell you.
good luck
Hands free fobs are electronically assigned to the HD Smart Security System by a HD dealer so that the module can recognize a fob's unique signal. Only 2 fobs can be assigned to the module at any one time.
Replacement fobs can be purchased from a dealership but can only be assigned to the motorcycle by a trained HD technician.

I have an 06 EG Classic and had to replace a fob. When programming, you have to do both (old & new) because just doing the new one gives it a new assignment and cancells the one in the old fob. The programming procedure allows for programming multiple fobs.
I finally found out how to configure the second security fob! It is important to read the instructions in the owner's handbook several times!!!!!
