Luggage options
We like HD luggage, both bag liners and their rack bags. Nice to just open the bag and grab the handles to bring the stuff into the hotel.
Be careful about weight, it will make riding the motorcycle more difficult. If your first time packed heavy, do a test ride before departure. It may make you reconsider the load. Good luck.

I have one of these 40 liter, waterproof duffels. It has a flap over the zipper to expel water and is very nice. It fits right on the tour pack luggage rack.
Lay everything you wanna take with you on your bed. Then get rid of half of it. You can buy stuff along the way. You can wear socks and underwear for 2-3 days. Two pairs of jeans and a thin pair of khakis to wear for when you do laundry. I wear my jeans for 4+ days or until then start walking on their own.
What the woman wants to bring will be your downfall. That's why in all the old western movies about pioneers headed west, there's a scene where they jettison the plates, trunks and heirloom pianos along the trail.
And it's always the women wailing in those scenes.
I went cross country from Syracuse, NY to Sacramento, CA, & back with what fit in my saddlebags, tour pack & the one duffle. Plus I had tools and a small air pump with me.
Good luck and come back and post some photos.
We keep all our clothes in the luggage on top of the tour pack.
I use the Ciro cup holders, GF liked not having to reach down.
